The story of St. John speaks to the faithfulness of God. It all started in 1889 when local families began meeting in each other’s homes to worship. Three years later they organized as a congregation and called their first pastor. In 1949, St. John dedicated a new church building in the village of Uhland. In 2011 St. John became a part of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). In 2023, the St. John Christian Fellowship Center opened to better serve our church and community. Today, by God’s grace, we carry on a long legacy of faith and service.
As we look to the future, our world can look pretty bleak at times, but we move forward with confidence because we know that our sins are forgiven and God has promised to “never leave us or forsake us.”
